Daddy Always Answers

I was at the mall this weekend with my husband and toddlers picking up a few things and there was Mall Santa waiting for children to come and sit on his lap to tell him what they want for Christmas. Then we want to Walmart and my baby who is just learning how to speak was calling “Daddy” really loud and raspy trying to capture the attention of my husband. He responded by looking at her with a look of silly surprise and all the children laughed. They made this a game. He would look away, she would call, he would respond, and they all would crack up laughing. Every time she called on him he responded. This got me thinking……. The world waits an entire year to give their children hope to get something that they ask for. They sit on Santa’s lap, tell him what they want, and believe that they will receive what they have asked. People even get upset if someone tells their children that Santa isn’t real, but yet we are not allowed to say that Jesus is real (even though this is what Christmas is all about). The enemy always knows how to come in a pervert a situation. Then enemy wants us to sit in a place of perversion (the loins of man) and believe that his magic (witchcraft) will fulfill our dreams if we ask. God wants us to sit at the feet of Jesus (a place of humility) and receive the goodness of His Word like Mary did in John 10:39. Yes, we give our children gifts for Christmas. Truthfully, they get good gifts all year round. They are surely blessed. So how much more do we think God will do for us?

Matthew 7:7-11 (NKJV)
Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

It is time to stop looking to the world to answer our problems. We can’t trust in man’s ability to solve the crisis of this world. Jesus IS the answer. All we need to do is ask, seek, and knock. We must humble ourselves and pray.

2 Chronnicles 7:14
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We must turn from the lusts of our flesh and the pride of life. God wants to heal our land. He wants to show His glory out of what He does for His people.

John 14:13-14 (NKJV)
13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Do you believe that He will? I challenge you to stir up your faith today. Get before the feet of Jesus. Humble yourself and repent for any pride or sin that has kept you from fully believing. Ask God for what you REALLY want! Believe and you will receive it (Matthew 21:22). You will receive so your joy will be made full (John 16:24). Jesus has everything that you need if you only come to Him.

Father we thank You that You are a good Father that gives good gifts. Forgive us for believing in world systems and our own ability to get what we need. We humbly submit to You and realize we can do nothing outside of You. We sit at your feet and seek your wisdom. We knock on the door of Your Kingdom and believe that it is opened for us. We ask according to your riches in glory and know that we will receive. We know that Your blessing makes us rich and adds no sorrow to it. We give You glory, thanks, and honor for being a good Father. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!

I am a married, mother of six. My desire is to see the brokenhearted healed, the captives set free, and gifts and callings activated by the power of God through prayer and prophecy.
