8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8 (MSG)
6-8 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him
Jesus died for all of us! He wishes that no soul shall perish. He loves us so much, that even if you were the last one left on earth, He still would of took the punishment of the cross. Everything that is going on in our world’s system and age has not taken Jesus by surprise. As Christians we should have a righteous indignation rise in us that causes us to hit the streets and spread the gospel. Jesus wants the souls of the lost. He wants their hearts. He wants to use us to share His truth and His love.
John 3:17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
I remember when I first got saved. I was lost, depressed, confused, and a functional alcoholic. I used to sit in my garage drinking my strong drink, smoking my cigarettes, telling my friend about Jesus and what He was doing in my life. Now, I see that as a terrible mess, but then it was the beginning of a beautiful relationship where God was coming in as a deliverer to strip me of my sin, free me from my prison, and heal me from my hurts. It has been a process. God still gently shows me areas that need adjusting. He is a merciful Father and is patient and compassionate towards us. It is time to release His character into the world and stand strong on His Word. We have to give nonbelievers a choice. We must share the truth in love and take the time to demonstrate how to walk through the process. Just as God transformed us, there is still hope for this generation. We must stand in the gap by prayer and declaration. We must repent and cry out to God that He might heal our land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God says that we still have ways that are wicked as people who are called. We have to show the world that the church is different from them and has benefits beyond the desires that they crave. We must show the world with our actions not just tell them with our mouths. We have to actually be who we say we are. We are world changers and God is waiting on us to act. There are people waiting on us.
Romans 8:19 (AMP)
19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].
Father, we thank You that You saved us yet while we were still sinners. Help us show the same grace and mercy towards the still lost. Forgive us for not showing your character. Help us be patient and kind, yet bold and courageous to share Your truth in love. Make us world changers. Your government supersedes the government of this world. We have faith to believe that you will turn all things around for our good. We ask You to use us as vessels that carry Your word and Your fire. Help us set the world systems a blaze by Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!
